database development for mac
What did we do?
Daily Fee Income database and Fee Consolidation database
These two databases were originally conceived as seperate entities. The daily fee income was a simple database that recorded daily fee income. Data fields included the unique transaction number, patient name, schedule period, method of payment, date of payment and the person who the income was attributed too.
The Fee consolidation database was developed to improve the accuracy of fee consolidation for associates at the dental practice. Gross fees earned each month are used to calculate net fees due to associate employees. The database was eventually linked to the Daily Fee Income (cash book). A complex calculation was undertaken and displayed in a step by step approach so that the associate could see how their net fees were arrived at. A lengthy 2-4 hour process each month was reduced to 10 minutes each month.
